Dr. Anne Johnson

Founder, DC, cAVCA, cIVCA

I am a lifelong athlete and horsewoman. I grew up on a small horse and grain farm in the Midwest. Playing volleyball, basketball, and riding competitively fostered a love for movement and competition that served me through adolescence and young adulthood.

I never stopped being obsessed with horses. I was blessed to work at a retired racehorse adoption facility through high school and college where I expanded my understanding of injury management, rehab, and return to sport. I met my heart horse, Noa, in 2017 through this job. I started to explore holistic healthcare and the journey to TxT began.

I obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, OR, and then went on to receive an animal certification from the Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic in Kansas. I have a commitment to continuing education to better serve horses and their riders.

  • My horse had a traumatic pasture accident years ago. After extensive rehab, I accepted that he wouldn't be sound anymore. After just one session with Dr. Anne, he is moving noticably better. I couldn't believe it. I'd recommend Dr. Anne to anyone looking for an equine chiropractor.

  • I have worked with several equine Chiropractors over the last 20 years of owning horses. Dr. Anne is by far the most knowledgeable and professional I have had the pleasure of working with. Her attention to the horses response and her ability to find the horses problem area has been fantastic. All 5 of my horses love her! One of my mares injured herself at the beginning of spring and Dr. Anne was not only able to help with her injury but find the likely cause of why she injured herself in the first place.

  • Anne is an absolutely phenomenal chiropractor and body worker. My fidgety Arab gelding adores her and she is so patient with his shenanigans and works to his tolerance each visit. Anne's approach of adding in soft tissue work to help the adjustment hold works great for his body and I’m so happy to see so much improvement in him. I’ve noticed a big change in how he’s moving since we started working with Anne, he’s now volunteering a left lead canter regularly when previously he would only volunteer right lead.
